Cookie Policy
Effective Date: January 1, 2026
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that websites store on your device when you visit. They help websites remember information about your visit — such as your preferred language or whether you're logged in — making your next visit easier and the site more useful to you.
HomeSoccer also uses localStorage, a similar browser technology that stores data locally on your device without an expiry date. We treat localStorage data with the same privacy standards as cookies.
How We Use Cookies
We use cookies and localStorage for three purposes:
- Essential: Necessary for the site to work. These cannot be turned off.
- Analytics: Help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. Only loaded with your consent.
- Marketing: Used for advertising and remarketing. We do not currently use any marketing cookies, but this category is listed for transparency.

The table below lists every cookie and local storage item HomeSoccer uses.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| homesoccer-cookie-consent | Essential | Stores your cookie consent preferences so we don't ask again on every visit. | 1 year | HomeSoccer |
| connect.sid | Essential | Maintains your login session so you stay signed in while browsing. | Session (deleted when browser closes) | HomeSoccer |
| homesoccer-city | Essential | Remembers the city you selected so content stays relevant on your next visit. | 1 year | HomeSoccer |
| i18nextLng | Essential | Remembers your preferred language (English or Spanish). | 1 year | HomeSoccer |
| quickplan-* (localStorage) | Essential | Saves your QuickPlan practice plan state, custom drills, and removed drills locally so your plan persists between sessions. | Persistent (until cleared) | HomeSoccer |
| _ga | Analytics | Google Analytics — assigns a unique identifier to distinguish users and count sessions and page views. | 2 years | Google LLC |
| _ga_TN67B0DTVX | Analytics | Google Analytics 4 — maintains session state for tracking interactions within a single session. | 2 years | Google LLC |
Third-Party Cookies
Analytics cookies are set by Google LLC on our behalf through Google Analytics 4. Google may use this data in accordance with its own privacy policy. You can learn more and opt out of Google Analytics tracking at:
Managing Your Cookie Preferences
You have several ways to control cookies:
- Cookie Settings on this site: Use the "Cookie Settings" link in the site footer to open our consent panel and adjust your Analytics and Marketing preferences at any time.
- Browser settings: Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Note that blocking essential cookies may break site functionality. See your browser's help documentation for instructions.
- Google Analytics opt-out: Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on to prevent your data from being used by Google Analytics across all sites.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when we add new features or services that use cookies. Material changes will be noted in the cookie consent banner. Your continued use of the site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
