Adult & Recreational Soccer in Austin

Soccer is not just for kids. Find recreational and adult options to keep playing the game you love in Austin.

Whether you are a former player looking to get back on the field or a parent who wants to play alongside your kids' soccer journey, Austin has recreational options for adults and youth alike. Here is how to find a league or pick-up game that fits.

Adult league formats

  • 11v11 outdoor leagues — the classic full-field format, organized by division and skill level.
  • Indoor and futsal — fast, small-sided play, great year-round and in hot summers.
  • 7v7 and small-sided — lower-commitment, casual leagues popular with busy adults.
  • Co-ed, men's, women's, and over-30/over-40 divisions for every life stage.

Pick-up soccer

Beyond organized leagues, Austin has informal pick-up games at parks and recreation centers — a low-pressure way to play without a season-long commitment. Local soccer groups and community apps are the best way to find regular games.

Recreational soccer for kids

If you are here for a younger player, recreational youth soccer is the no-tryout, low-cost, fun-first entry point. Browse the clubs in Austin below to find recreational programs near you.

North Austin Soccer Alliance (NASA)

NASA is a grassroots, not-for-profit organization run by dedicated volunteers. Every year, hundreds of children in Austin play soccer with our club. NASA gives back to the community. We support our local schools financially through the "Partners in Education" program. NASA is passionate about the belief that everyone, regardless of their level of experience and ability, can enjoy playing the game of Soccer. We emphasize player development and good sportsmanship over winning at all costs. Regardless of their level of experience, every player should expect to play at least 50% of every game. NASA uses the "small sided game" format, so that even novice players can make good decisions and touch the ball plenty of times in every game.
